The purpose of modeling in engineering is to provide a base for discussion about simulation rules, methods and tools to support new achievements in various engineering fields.

Semnan University in order to develop a scientific and research environment in the field of simulation and modeling in engineering  since 2008 has been publishing a journal entitled "Modeling in Engineering". Due to the importance of modeling in engineering sciences, the scientific and research validity of the journal of Modeling in Engineering in letter number 52425/11/3/89 dated 10 November 2010 by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology has been notified.
