Dynamics of Vapor Film Formed on Surface of Hot Spheres Immersed in Water

Abstract

Abstract   In this paper mechanism of growth and collapse of vapor films formed on the surface of hot spheres during interaction with water is investigated. Mathematical modeling of problem is done by taking into account nonequilibrium effects on interface surface of liquid and vapor. Variation of radius of vapor film, liquid-vapor interface temperature and vapor pressure inside film are obtained. results of numerical solution is compared with experimental data and consistency between numerical and experimental results approves the suggested model..
