Nowadays modeling of semiconductor switches is an important topic that is focused on, by design engineers. Since it improves their observation on design cases such as structure, comparison, component values, control loop and stability of the system. This paper presents a numerical analysis method to determine the voltages and currents of thyristors in power electronic converters. Such converter components are divided in two categories: linear and non-linear. In the proposed method, first we consider the rotated characteristic curve of the switch, and then deduce the current-voltage block diagram of Thyristor based on the curve. Then we replace the Thyristor in the converter with its block diagram. After assigning impedance and transfer matrixes by the circuit theory and applying the multivariable Runge-Kutta algorithm on the differential equations, instantaneous voltage and current values of the switches will be determined. Eventually, proposed method results are compared with simulation results. The comparison shows the capability of this method, So that maximum error of voltages and currents is below 2%.
